Mehmet Kahraman was born in 1961 in the village of Karaa\u011fa\u00e7 (Brestovene), located in the Deliorman region of Bulgaria.
\nHe developed an interest in drawing at an early age and soon became one of the most talented children in his village. In 1973, he attended the \u201cSummer Art Camp\u201d in Razgrad, where he received ten days of painting training. This camp became a turning point in his artistic journey, and he decided to pursue painting as a career.
\nFor high school, he enrolled in the \u201cTechnical High School of Woodworking and Interior Design\u201d in the city of Ruse. However, when his family decided to migrate to T\u00fcrkiye in 1977, he was forced to leave his studies unfinished. In 1978, he settled in Bursa with his family. Since there was no equivalent of his Bulgarian school in T\u00fcrkiye, he was unable to continue his education.
\nAfter arriving in T\u00fcrkiye, his encounter with the humor magazine G\u0131rg\u0131r shifted his artistic focus toward cartooning. From then on, he devoted himself entirely to cartoons. His works began to appear in various humor magazines as well as in the humor sections of newspapers.
\nIn 1994, he started participating in cartoon competitions and has since won more than 200 awards in national and international contests. In 2006, he held his first solo exhibition titled K\u0131rkbe\u015flik in Bursa and published his cartoon album Mefonten the same year.
\nIn 2007, together with seven fellow cartoonists from Bursa, he co-founded the Anatolian Cartoonists Association, where he served as Chairman of the Board for three terms. Between 2007 and 2010, he drew daily political cartoons for a local newspaper.
\nSince 2011, he has been teaching at the Cartoon Workshop of the Bursa Be\u015fevler Youth Center and at the cartoon club of a private school. To date, he has introduced the art of cartooning to more than 2,000 students, training and inspiring them in this field.<\/p>\n

Musa G\u00fcm\u00fc\u015f \u00a0was born in Gaziantep in 1963. He began his career at Geli\u015fim Yay\u0131nlar\u0131 between 1989 and 1994. He worked for humor magazines such as H\u0131b\u0131r, Bando, Nokta, HBR, Maymun, and Dinozor. His works were exhibited at the “Neighbours” cartoon exhibition opened by the European Parliament in Strasbourg in 1997. He worked as a cartoon-illustration teacher at Mef Schools for 18 years from 2001 to 2019 and retired from there. In 2016, he opened the “Musa G\u00fcm\u00fc\u015f Cartoon Workshop” in Istanbul Ata\u015fehir and organized special cartoon courses for dozens of students.<\/p>\n

His works have been featured in competition exhibitions and catalogs in 32 different countries and have been accepted into museums. He has served on the juries of many International Cartoon Competitions. He has won a total of 272 awards from domestic and international competitions to date. In 2008, one of his cartoons was erected as a monument in Porto, Portugal, in Freedom Square.<\/p>\n

A\u015fk\u0131n Ayranc\u0131o\u011flu was born in 1969 in the village of Ba\u011fl\u0131ca in the Boyabat district of Sinop. He completed his primary education in the village and then attended middle and high school as a boarding student in Eski\u015fehir. In 1991, he graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Samsun Ondokuzmay\u0131s University.<\/p>\n

Beginning his career by participating in the 1987 Abdi \u0130pek\u00e7i Cartoon Competition, Ayranc\u0131o\u011flu has since won over 120 awards in various cartoon competitions, most of which are international. His cartoons have been featured in solo and group exhibitions, albums, newspapers, and magazines both domestically and internationally. Continuing his work in the fields of painting, cartooning, photography, graphics, and criticism since 1987, the artist has also published four books in the field of literature.<\/p>\n

Currently, he works as a “Visual Arts” teacher at a boarding school in Sinop-Boyabat. He was awarded “Teacher of the Year” in Turkey in 2012 and named “International Best Humor Artist” in China in 2017. The artist has a son named Da\u011flar Umut and a daughter named Didar A\u015fk\u0131n.<\/p>\n

Kamil Yavuz<\/strong> was born in Istanbul in 1959. His first cartoons were published in the humor G\u0131rG\u0131r magazine in 1973. His first professional cartoons were published in the \u00c7ar\u015faf magazine in 1976. He worked as a page designer in humor magazines and newspapers. He has done numerous workshops with students in many schools since 1996. He has done workshops with adults and children in recent years, especially in the Aegean Region, Kazda\u011flar\u0131. He participate in cartoon exhibitions around the world. 43 of his works have been awarded in various competitions all over the world. Among these are Turkey, Russia, Belgium, Spain, Romania, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Uruguay, Korea, Ethiopia, China, Iran, USA and Taiwan. He hashad solo exhibitions in Paris-France (1994), Beijing-China (1998), Landeck-Austria (2000) and Tabriz\/Tehran-Iran (2003). He has presented to an audience his book exhibition that\u2019s titled “Goodbye Smoking, Hello Life”. The same exhibition was opened in 29 different cities in Turkey. He had 12,000 postcards and almost one million posters published from my book. He has published 20 books since 1991.<\/p>\n

Ra\u015fit Yakal\u0131<\/strong> was born in Tire, Turkey. (1943). He worked as a teacher in an elementary school for five years. He started drawing cartoons with the encouragement of Semih Balc\u0131o\u011flu. His first cartoon was published in Terc\u00fcman in 1962. He worked as a cartoonist at Yeni As\u0131r (1964-1968), Pardon Humour Magazine (1969-1970), D\u00fcnya daily newspaper (1970-1987), H\u00fcrriyet daily newspaper (1887-1992), Fotospor (1993-1994), BRT Television (1995-1996). He drew daily cartoons for a newspaper; Bizim Gazete for six years. He held many personal exhibitions. He founded the \u00c7ar\u015faf Dergisi Cartoon School in 1980 and directed this school until 1992 (with his teacher Semih Balc\u0131o\u011flu). Two of his books and two of his cartoons have been acquired by the Bulgarian and Canadian Cartoon Museums. He published Bilge Art Magazine (1964), \u00c7a\u011fda\u015f Humour Magazine (1975-1976), Yeni \u00c7uval Humour Magazine (1978-80). He published cartoon books , \u00c7izgiyle (1973), \u0130\u015f\u00e7i \u00c7izgisi (1975), \u00c7izgi ile \u0130craat\u0131n \u0130\u00e7inden (1984), G\u00f6zl\u00fckl\u00fc Mart\u0131 (1987-with Re\u015fit A\u015f\u00e7\u0131o\u011flu), G\u00fcnl\u00fck (1997). He is married with two children. He is a member of the Cartoonists Association, Journalists Association of Turkey, Sports Writers Association of Turkey and Be\u015fikta\u015f Gymnastics Club. He has been running workshops on cartoon in educational institutions and social organizations for 50 years.<\/p>\n

Ahmet Aykanat<\/strong>\u00a0 was born in 1950 in Delemenler, a village near Ala\u015fehir, Turkey. He received his philosophy degree from \u0130stanbul University in 1974. After working as a high school teacher for many years, in 1992 he began giving lectures on philosophy at Uluda\u011f University (Bursa, Turkey), Department of Education, where he also initiated cartoon drawing courses. Upon his retirement in 2000, he has continued teaching cartoon drawing by giving courses in various elementary schools, as well as by organizing workshops for different age groups in a non-profit educational center (Nil\u00fcfer Gen\u00e7lik Merkezi) in Bursa. Since the publication of his first cartoon in 1969, he has worked for many local newspapers and his cartoons have appeared in many periodicals across the globe. He also published three cartoon catalogues. Aykanat is a distinguished cartoonist with over 50 awards in international cartoon contests and festivals. Since 2007, he has been the founder president of Anatolian Cartoon Association.<\/p>\n
