INSTRUCTIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL TOURISM CARTOONS COMPETITION<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. ORGANIZERS<\/strong> 2. APPLICATION DATE<\/strong><\/p>\n a) \u00a0Unless any pre-announced change is made, the deadline to submit the works is 31 December of each single year.\u00a0 Any work received later is not considered for the competition.<\/p>\n 3. THEME<\/strong><\/p>\n a) \u00a0The competition is organized every single year by setting a theme related to any aspects of tourism.<\/p>\n 4. PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n a) \u00a0Competition is open to all cartoonists from all over the world, both amateur and Professional.<\/p>\n b) \u00a0Each cartoonist may submit maximum three works.<\/p>\n c) \u00a0 Works to be submitted may be original drawings, digital printings or computer printouts.<\/p>\n d) \u00a0The drawing technique is freeform.<\/p>\n e) \u00a0Works may be in any color or black and white. Artists\u2019 signature must take place on works to be sent in a paper form.<\/p>\n f) \u00a0 Participants should write their names, surnames and full postal and email address. If website submission would be desired, full postal address, e-mail and phone number should be inserted where possible.<\/p>\n g) \u00a0Works may have been published elsewhere, but not awarded in a competition at all.<\/p>\n h) \u00a0Works may be considered for publishing in Anatolia Tourism Academy, and books, catalogs, brochures, postcards, websites and posters about this organization. All of the remaining broadcast rights belong to the author.<\/p>\n i) \u00a0No work is returned to the artists, regardless of obtaining any award or not.<\/p>\n j) Works produced with artificial intelligence (AI) are not accepted for the competition.<\/strong><\/p>\n k) \u00a0Cartoonists who participate in this competition are deemed to have accepted all the conditions described in this instruction.<\/p>\n 5. CATEGORIES<\/strong><\/p>\n a) \u00a0The competition comprises of two categories.<\/p>\n b) \u00a0\u201cCategory of Adult Cartoonists\u201d is open for the participations of cartoonists who are 17 and older.<\/p>\n c) \u00a0\u201cCategory of Young Cartoonists\u201d is open for the participations of cartoonists who are 16 and younger.<\/p>\n 6. THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF COMPETITION<\/strong><\/p>\n a) \u00a0Announcement of the Competition is performed three times in virtual environments: The first announcement is performed in the first week of July. The second announcement is performed in the first week of October. The last announcement is performed in the first week of December of each year.<\/p>\n 7. ANNOUNCEMENT OF SUBMITTED WORKS<\/strong><\/p>\n a) \u00a0All works submitted to the competition are announced as a table format containing the cartoonist\u2019s \u201cname and surname\u201d, \u201ccountry\u201d and \u201cnumber of works submitted\u201d on the competition’s official webpage in the first week of January.<\/p>\n 8. MEMBERS OF SELECTION COMMITTEE<\/strong><\/p>\n a) \u00a0Members of the selection committee consist of two groups as \u201cPre-selection\u00a0Committee Members\u201d and \u201cFinal Selection Committee Members\u201d.<\/p>\n b) \u00a0Members of the selection committee are replaced every three years except two representatives determined by the Organization Committee.<\/p>\n c) \u00a0Every year, two cartoonists to be selected out of seven winner cartoonists of \u201cCategory of Adult Cartoonists\u201d are invited to serve as a member of the Final Selection Committee in the following year\u2019s competition.<\/p>\n 9. EVALUATION OF WORKS<\/strong><\/p>\n a) \u00a0The submitted Works are evaluated in three stages. In the first stage, Pre-selection\u00a0Committee Members come together in \u0130stanbul and they select approximately 1\/5 of the submitted works for being evaluated as the finalist.<\/p>\n b) \u00a0Finalist works are suspended for a pre-announced period with no less than 10 days and copies and duplications are tried to be eliminated among them.<\/p>\n c) \u00a0Objections are accepted between the announced dates. Objections are presented to Pre-Selection Committee. Works which are subject to the objections justified by the committee are not accepted for the final evaluation.<\/p>\n d) In the second stage, Members of the Final Selection Committee select approximately 1\/3 of the finalist works for being evaluated in the final evaluation.<\/p>\n e) \u00a0In the last stage, Members of the Final Selection Committee determine the winning works.<\/p>\n f) Objections to the finalist or winning works are examined by the members of the pre-evaluation board. Regardless of whether it is before or after the announcement of the awards, if any participant\/s copying the work of another person or showing a part of the work of another person, their work will be definitely excluded from the evaluation. Even the work has been given the prize, it will be withdrawn. The participant\/s loses their rights to participate with their works in the future series of the International Tourism Cartoon Competition.<\/p>\n 10. AWARDS AND AWARD CEREMONY<\/strong><\/p>\n a) \u00a0In the Category of Adult Cartoonists, \u201cThe Grand Award\u201d, \u201cThe Second Award\u201d, \u201cThe Third Award\u201d and \u201cProfessor Atila \u00d6zer Recognition Award\u201d are presented.<\/p>\n b) \u00a0In the Category of Young Cartoonists \u201cThe Grand Award\u201d and \u201ctwo Mansions\u201d are presented.<\/p>\n c) \u00a0Only award winners are provided a five-day free all-inclusive holiday in a five star hotel operating in Turkey.<\/p>\n d) \u00a0Plaques and award documents are presented to the Award winners.<\/p>\n e) \u00a0Award ceremony is organized anywhere in Turkey every April.<\/p>\n 11.
